The history of technological culture is based on innovation rather than the history of human beings. Initially, humans gathered plants and hunted animals, agricultural subsistence, and eventually, agricultural endeavors. Energy sources of agricultural subsistence are mostly from animal husbandary, however energy sources of agricultural industry are from fossil fuel. Fossil fuel consists of chemical compounds such as fertlizer, fungicide and insecticide, used for agricultural machinery, water pumps and others. Energy fom fossil fuel is destructive causing injury to humans, high subsidy, reduces land productivity, costly and destructive to the environment. Energy from fossil fuel is not renewable, expensive and difficult to obtain, To alleviate dependence on fosil fuel, several efforts must be done in agriculture to save energy and conserve the environment such as energy diversification, conservation, and increasing efficiency of agricultural sources.
