Isi artikel
The history of China is an interesting sdubject to study. Until 1842 foreigners who made contract with Chinese culture and civilization only considered is as ecotic, luxurious, and intelligent. The situation changed by the end of the China-British war. The English defeated the Chinese and made its intelectuals ashamed. China's philosophy is the past, western philosophy is the future. Driven by their famous strong willingness, Chinese intellectuals adopted western science and democracy. Westernisation came to ironically China, which was still underdeveloped and rooted in its ancient culture and wisdom. Chinese looked back to its past and at the same time looked to the west. They learnt about Marxism and adopted Soviet-Russian revolutionary tactics. As a result, China succesfully entered the free market regime with its half-hearted democracy, Meanwhile Soviet-Russia the principal had disintegrated which brought communism and Marxism into the bottom of the Black Sea. The soviet satellites, eastern European countries left communism and became democratic countries. China's lesson in dealing with western democratic values and to Chinese-communism in an interesting case of study for the future of Indonesia's democracy.
