To produce potato of superior quality, good quality potato seed is needed. It is dependent on its mother plant, which should be healthy, provides higher yield, plant pest resistant, provides quick harvest and has tasty flavor. Besides seed storage should be clean and soil-free. Seed storage must have enough ventilation to circulate air in order not to spoil seeds. Temperature also must be appropriate to store seeds to avoid high respiration of plant to maintain seed viability. Humidity of seed storage and adequate sunlight maintains quality of potato seeds. Therefore, adequate seed storage is important to preserve quality of potato seed.
