Publication of LAPAN books is one of Center for Data and Information. LAPAN projects. Similar to other projects, it has limited time, so that a critical path method should be designed properly. By using this method, progress of projects could be effectively controlled. In the following paper the critical path method provides several advantages : 1) time required for book publication could be calculated within 40 weeks, 2) critical activities could be detected. These activities are : a) letter of team assignment, b) application letter to related department, c) data collection, d) typing information in Indonesia, e) first analysis, f) typing information in English, g) second analysis, h) final correction, and i) book printing. In this case, potential sources could also be managed efficiently.
