The difficulties faced by students learning English asa a foeign language in narrative writing often exist when they have to start writing with no ideas at all and put the ideas, if they get ones, together in such an organized way that makes the story conveyed can be understood and followed easily by readers. In line with the difficulties in writing, picture series with their advantages are proved to be able to give great assistance in improving the students' ability in getting ideas and organizing the ideas they have in sequence of events. related to the content adn organization of compositions, the students exposed to the use of picture series during the treatment obtain significant improvement in their posttest scores and significantly better scores in the content and organization of the posttest and treatment compositions compared to those exposed to non-picture series treatment.
