It is very interesting to discuss pornography in the Indonesia press, because it often causes controversy. Some mass media may use it to increase readership. Government and the public have two different attitudes towards this matter. One oppoeses and the other tends to enjoy it. The controversy of pornography is caused by disagreement of its understanding and there has been no agreement on its measurement, because of the differences in points of view, time, place, culture and society. Despite complaints of people and publishers being brought to court, pornography in Indonesia doesn't seem to vanish. In fact, it has become more colorful especially in the reformation era.
