Gingivitis and periodontal disease of Indonesian polulation / community has increased darmatically. Periodontal disease is chronic inflamation of gingival tissue, supporting bone and fibrous tissue around the teeth. it is caused by many factors and it begins by gingivitis marginalis. Prevent of increasing prevalence of gingivitis can be done by elimination of the causes. The aetiology of gingivitis is dental plaque. the accumulation of dental plaque is influenced by many factors, such as saliva volume, total protein, pH and viscosity. The aim of this experiment is to measure of saliva resistance of human saliva viscosity and its relationship with dental plaque form to assess for dental health status. For this purpose, clinical and laboratory experiment was conducted on 100 subjects at the dental clinic and the Seamed Tropmed Laboratory, University of Indonesia Jakarta. This prediction the variable od saliva's resistance on curtain human's saliva's viscosity were statiscally Multiple Regression test, The result of this experiment showed that there no relation between variable of saliva's resistance on curtain humain's saliva viscosity on formation of plaque.
