Cashew nut export has fluctuated even though nowadays the trend is increasing, however, Indonesia is not capable yet to obtain added value from its agricultural products, in this case, cashew nut export. The marketing strategy of cashew nut should be performed in two steps : 1) strengthening the position of the traditional market , and 2) penetration of non-traditional markets. Experience of Indonesian exports is still poor, for instance automatic detention by the US and retention without physical examination by Australia. It is due to this reason that positioning in the traditional market becomes a priority. Traditional market penetration is done by good marketing practices through cooperation and coordination with all stakeholders involved.
