The present political change in Indonesia has caused reformation in every aspect of people's lives. One of such change is the reformation of the Indonesian press. Formely the press was considered as public information sources not infrequently voicing government policy and propaganda. Nowadays, the press is actively involved in preserving the public interest in government policy. However, this freedom of the press is often premature and uncontrollable creating uncomfortable situations the press themselves in preserving the public's interest.
