Isi artikel
On one side, to guard hadith means guarding Islam, meanwhile to guard the Quran implies, on the other side, guarding the former. This is due to the fact that both the hadith and the Quran are God's revelation. Subsequently, it is mistaken that some people have stated that the former had been put it in writing only by the early second century of hijri. It is true that it had been officially codified due to the order of the caliph 'Umar b.'Abd a/-Aziz one century after hijra. However, the fact says that some companions had put it in writing on their own initiative before. This signifies that prior to the official codification, there had been efforts of putting the hadith in writing in order to guard it. Tales that have prohibited writing other than the Quran are not absolute prohibition, since there have existed other tales permitting to do it. For this, the Prophet had recognized those whom had been recommended to do it. This article focuses on the writing of hadith prior to its official codification, and explains the tales related to allowance on prohibition of writing other than the Quran, that have seemingly opposed each other.
