Isi artikelThis article examines whether it is desirable and feasible to involve ESP learners in evaluating their courses. For both teachers and students, a number of major drawbacks exist, and these are listed. At the same time, however, some reasonably counterbalancing advantages can be identified, and these are also detailed. For situations where participatory course evaluation is used, there are a number of practical techniques that are likely to make the process more effective; these are described.
