Isi artikelFilter is frequently used in electronics systems. The main problems which are need to be considered in designing filter are order, stability and frequency response of filter. This paper discussed application genetic algorithm for optimizing four types of digital IIR(Infinite Impulse Response) filter which are low pass filter, high pass filter, band pass filter and band stop filter. The results of testing show that genetic algorithm is able to decrease order, improve frequency response and preserve stability of the filters simultaneously. The platform program is using Matlab version 5.3.1.
