Undergraduates assigned randomly to one of four experimental groups were provided with two types of instructional procedure (direct instruction and cognitive modeling) and two types of rule presentation (explicit and implicit) of classroom management procedures. When presented with hypothetical classroom mangement problems, subjects were expected to apply the behavior analysis rules they learned. Dependent measures were the students' scores related to applying psychological concepts in their written responses, and scores on self - efficacy and attitude measures related to behavior analysis.
