However, these methods normally neglect the meaning of the data. Therefore the solution is not sufficiently informative. Fuzzy set theory is a modification of set theory. Thus theory can deal with uncertainty and ambiguous data as good as clean data. This paper discussed the basic principles of fuzzy set theory, its characteristics and also its operations.
