In this paper, we consider a type of nonlinear oscillator n\known as rayleigh equation i. e. x(n) + x = u (1 - (x') (2)) x'. We study local the stability of the fixed point in the presence of positive parameter u. We are also looking at the existence of the periodic solution which is also a limit cycle in this equation. Using poincare - bendixxon's theorem we proof that the limit cycle exists. For small values of the paramter, we use asymptotic analysis to approximate that periodic solution. The method we apply in this paper is poin care - listed method. We calculate also the numerical solution for the system and compare the result with the asymptotic.
