The use of several DC motors in a plant needs to be controlled by using control system principles. This research uses line tracer mobile robot as the plant which is designed to be able to move straight and turn to follow a route. The DC motor is used to move the robot wheels. The objective is to design and develop a control system of DC motor in mobile robot so that it is able to move straight and turn to follow the route which is a white line. The result shows that microcontroller AT89C2051 is able to receive input from sensor, process it so that the control output approaches zero.
