Derivation of the differential equation of electromagnetic wave from Maxwell's equation was then changed to the from appropriate for guided electromagnetic wave. Finally, the relations between the transverse and the longitudinal components of the fields in the guided electromagnetic wave were deduced using the general form of guided wave and the two "curl equations" in the Maxwells's equations.
