Fuzzy logic is a system of reasoning, which was developed as a kind of extension of two-valued classical logic. it belongs to the family of infinite-valued logics whose truth values are represented by all real numbers in the closed interval [0,11. One of the most fundamental rules of inference in logic is modus ponens, which can be generalized within the framework of fuzzy logic. This generalization is based on the so-called compositional rule of inference. The method of interpolation is a special case of the compositional rule of inference and is employed in the multiconditional approximate reasoning. In this paper we discuss the application of fuzzy logic in the field of fuzzy control system, which is utilized to control various kinds of process using rules of inference based on fuzzy logic.
