Fluid mechanics problems can be solved either mathematically, e.g. by separation of variable method, or numerically, e.g. by finite-difference method. Finite-difference method is a simple way of solving fluid mechanics problem in various geometric and boundary conditions. Using Point Succeccive Over Relaxation Method (PSOR) iteration, which is one of the finite-difference methods, it will be show how to find the velocity distribution of fluid flowing through a simple canal with a vertical partition.
