Isi artikel
This paper aims to establish the relationship between buckling load and natural frequency of several types of structure, i.e. a simple pin-ended column, a single 2D-frame, and a single 3D-frame. For the case of a simple pin-ended column, a single 2D-frame, and a single 3D-frame, the relationship between buckling load and natural frequency agrees to the equation (1.1). In other words, the relationship is linear. The reason is that the buckling mode shape is identical to the vibration mode shape. Although the relationship between buckling load and natural frequency of those structures agrees to the equation (1.1), the critical buckling loads obtained from experiments of those structures were comparable to the values obtained theoretically and numerically.
