Economic crisis has not only created a domino effect and caused multi dimentional crisis for indonesia, but also it has generated a gap between hopeless community and the have people. Accidently, the crisis has triggerred the development of syariah banking in indonesia, since the colapse of conventional banking system as well. Whilst the constitution 1945 committed to bring into relaity an economic matters which creates social prosperity and social justice for indonesian citizens, the syariah bank has the spirit of koran to generate social prosperity in justice and social prosperity in jsutice and social justice in prosperity, as stated in the sura al - hadid (57_ : 25 "we sent a foretime our apostles with clear signs, and sent down with them the book and the balance, that men may standforth in justice ..." and sura al - hasyr (59) : 7 "What God has bestowed on his apostle and taken away from the people of the townships, belong to God, to His Apostle and to kindred and orphans, the needy and the wayfarer in order that may no merely make a circuit between the wealthy among you". The essence is that the economic matters shall generate social justice in prosperity and social prosperity in justice. The born of islamic banking, therefore, has been views as an alternative solution to overcome the economic crisis in the banking sector, while the conventional banking has not made significant progress even it has been restructured.
