The study habitat used on nest building by rehabilitated orang utan was conducted in Sungai Wain Protected Forest East Kalimantan, from November 1999 till January 2000. On the nest building, the orangutan used trees with the height of11-40 meter (6,77 ; n=147), and on diameter of 16-80cm (sd=11,79 ; n=147). The range diameters of its nests were between 25-100cm (sd=24 ; n=147), and laid on the height of 11-40 meter (sd=6,57 ; n=147). Most of nest type built was type G. There was 28 nesting-tree species and the dominant one was Dipterocarpus confertus. Compare to other habitat types, the most abudant nest were laid on low land forest. There nest were built close to the last visited food trees.
