Isi artikel
This article examines some possible relationships between research in second language acquisition (SLA) and foreign language teaching (FL T). Special reference is made to research findings in SLA about the 'order of acquisition' of grammatical items, and to a model of application for such findings to classroom practice. The model proposes that, for practising teachers, SLA findings about the order of acquisition of grammatical items is best seen as data to be consulted when appropriate, rather than as information which should by it self be used to initiate change.
