Isi artikel
Recent changes in Eastern and Central Europe, in particular the dropping of Russian as first compulsory foreign language in schools, has created a huge demand for English language teachers. In trying to meet this demand, Hungary has set up a number of three-year single honours teaching degree programmes. The Centre for English Teacher Training (CETT) at Eotvos Lorand University in Budapest set up the first of these programmes in September 1990. Caroline Bodoczky and Angi Malderez are involved in the development of the programme and particularly the design of a training course for selected teachers who will become supervisors. In this interview they discuss innovative aspects of teaching experience, its supervision, and the training of the supervisors.
