Globalization is becoming more and more evident in the service sector, including banking. Banks striving to be at the forefront need good planning strategies which are appropriate to their management visio and are supported by strategic enterprises. Technological advancements, money and capital market products and stiff competition necessitate a fully prepared banking administration in order to benefit from dynamic and reliable technical capacity. But today, not only technical capabilities are a prerequisite to competitive power, the ability to utilize available information is also essential since banking itself has shifted from an intermediary role. Thus, the ability to perceive and analyze macroeconomic and other information is necessary for future planning since all operations are based on calculated risks. This article briefly discusses several factors pertinent to macro economic management and then goes on to examine some impacts of globalization on macro economic policy, business, and more particularly, banking.
