Isi artikelThis article is a report of a three year project to develop subject area certification examinations in foreign languages for the state of Florida. The project was carried out by foreign language educators at each stage of implementation: research, writing, validation, pilot-testing, editing, and scoring. This teacher directed project of certification test development can serve as a model to other states engaged in similar efforts.
