Policies & laws as products of certain political system will never be completely free from the dominant patriachial values which is followed by the majority of polici & law makers of the political system. Inspite of the already ratified convention on women's right, which should have ied the gout of indonesia to quarantee gender equality, the dacts show that discrimination based on gender persist in this country. The cause of this is the lack of a dequate comprehension on the issues it self this paper focuses on convention on women's rights as the basis for labor policy of gender equality.
