The main task of every manager is to solve problems and to make a decision (decision making). A problem is usually defined as a gap between the goal and the achievement. White decision making is a prosess of thinking by analyzing all facts and components related to the problems and the decision itself. A decision is futuristic, which related to the future that is unpredictable. To solve the problem, a manager may implement various kinds of approaches from traditional approach to rational ones. The rational approach is usually implemented by analyzing situation, composing alternatives of problem solving, evaluating anf choosing the best alternative. related to the decision making, there are 5 style of decision : authoritative stye I, autoritative style II, consultative style II, consultative II, and full participation style. All types ar based n the degree of involvement or subordinates in the process of decision making.
