The thought of indonesian cultural landscape in large scale before the introduction of landscape architecture as a profession and field of education was primarily known from the creation product of farmers as the natural landscape architects. To think of Indonesia as an agraria country this fact is not surprising, although we should not forget other kinds of landscapes exist here, such as seashore areas, steppes, savannas, etc. The coming of western civilization especially after the 28th and 19th century had its role in introducing a new style of living especially in the shape of city life with all of its complexities...
