Abstract
Many Industrialist neglected the importance of good work system design (ergonomics) at their production division. This caused low productivity (less production output) and many inefficiencies in production activity; more human needed (waste in employee), more time needed (waste in time), more cost needed (more production cast),and others.
This paper concerning an ergonomics study carried out at a mineral water company. Briefly, We can say that here we can easily find out many in ergonomics aspects in those work systems, that we watch more carefully, we can simply find out some remedial action for those problems.
The problem in solving problems and improving work system is that they might not know ergonomics and work system design, which can be used effectively to solve the problems and improve work system performance. They also think that to solve the problem by using ergonomics and work system design will needs a lot of money (spent money).
So, to solve the problem, here we give them some evaluation included ergonomics and economic evaluation so that they believe that application of ergonomics to solve their problems not only give them some benefit technically but also economically-According to economic evaluation, the cost to solve the problem for the solution choosed is Rp. 10.901.625. Economically, the benefit for the company is Rp.t4.869.834.
