Nest architecture and colony compof.ition of Bombus scnex, the endemic species, from Sumatra, were describe from two nest collected from Mt. Singgalang and Mt. Kerinci. The nest was constructed in underground, the top of nest was covered with wax. This species is a pocket maker. The nest collected from Mt. Singgalang .was composed of one older queen, 5 new queens, 2 males, 343 foragErs, 19 dwarf workers, 228 batches of cocoons. 39 brood cells containing 195 eggs and 98 larvae, 20 pollen pockets, 26 homy pots, 36 older honey pot and 156 vacated cocoons. The nest from Mt. Kerinci was composed of 1 old queen, 1 new queen, 5 foragers, 8 dwarf workers, 1 brood cell with 5 eggs, 1 honey pot and 2 pollen pots.
