Cogeneration is an opportunity to control and reduce energy costs by investing in a highly efficient, on-site powerplant. in this paper, energy and exergy analyses were used to analyze simple cogeneration system. These thermodynamic model can give mole fraction of combustion product, mass flow rate offuel and air consumption and exergy destroyed of each component. The exergy destruction of the combustion chamber as the major site of thermodynamic inefficiency, which stem from irreversibilities. This analysis provide a basis for implementing practical engineering measures aimed at improving the thermodynamic performance of cogeneration system.
