An analytical procedure are described to evaluate the dynamic stability of acoustically resonating cantilever pipes. Evaluation based on an open-closed pipe of a small diameter or stub, connected to a main pipe of significantly larger diameter and thicknes. Then, first order instability regions of main and combination resonances are reviewed with respect to frequency, amplitude and harmonic number ofpressure pulsation in the stub. Instability boundaries are determined and effects of damping on generating point of instability regions are evaluated.
