plasticity of undergrowth plants was investigated on three different age stand of Pinus Merkusii Jungh et de Vriese, i.e: < 5 years age. 6 to 10 years and more than 10 years old The observation showed that plant plasticity also occured on three undergrowth plants, i,e : Borreria alata. Af!eratum houstonianum and Euphatorium riparium. 1ncreasing density (If Pinus merkusii canopy of the 6 to 10 years and more than 10 years olds tands rfduccd the light intensity reaching the ground floor of the forest. This reduction caused of elongated internodus, and greated leaf surface.
