Quality is the important factor in construction industry, which needs special attention. This paper will discuss quality in construction industry. Discussing quality in general will start the discussion and then followed by quality in construction industry, finally special case of Indonesia will be discussed. The discussion was based on some literatures study and completed by writer’s experiences and knowledge as a construc¬tion industry observer. Generally, the meaning of quality consist of two key components those are demand in one side and the effort to fulfil that demand in other side. In accordance with the ri¬sing of demand on quality, many concepts on quality had developed. In construction industry, the importance of quality is caused by the characteristics of construction project itself in one side and the demand on quality of construction product, especially in this free trade era, in other side. In Indonesia, the striving on quality and the concepts on quality have risen in accordance with the development of the construction industry. But it is quite new, so some constraints are still faced especially which is related to the human resources.
