Isi artikelThe difficulty of PID tuning make peoples to find an alternative method to tune the PID controller. This paper present the genetic algorith method to solve that problem. To develop this project, a system was chosen and PID controller was designed for it using conventional method (ziegler - method). A geentic algorithm was created to evaluate the PID contorller for the same system. The result of both system was compared. The performance of the geetic algorithm was evaluated by these error criteria : ITAE, IAE, ISE, MSE. This project using the genetic algorithm optimization toolbox (GAOT) to evaluate the PID controller. The result of this project show that the response transient system with the MSE error criteria five the lower overshoot and smaller settling time than the other error criteria.
