Merpati Nusantara Airlines, Merpati Maintenance Facility (MMF) has a function to maintain aircrafts. At the moment the scheduling arrangement is done manually and separately for each aircraft. These activities result in the limited attention given for factors like hangar, the number of direct workers and maintenance activities in peak season that should be avoided. The absence of optimal scheduling measurement, such as over maintenance cost and lost revenue raise the difficulty in the maintenance activities. The solution is done usingheuristic method. This method contains the design of maintenance scheduling method approaching optimal solution by applying all of the rules, priorities and constraints. Model validation done by comparing the output of computer program with the output arranged manually. The research resulted in a scheduling arrangement method that improved the old method. The scheduling arrangement shows that the scheduling is free from conflicting hangar and man - hours, and also able to save up to US$ 41,430.79 for over maintenance cost and las revenue from the old method.
