Contrastive analyses research of Balim and English language is written with the aim to; (1) describe the tense marker in Balim and English language, (2) describe the similarities and differences of tense marker in Balim and English language. The data are collected from some grammar books and made by researcher as a native speaker of Balim language. The data are analyzed by contrasting both similarities and differences of the tense marker which is shown morphologically and syntactically. The analyses shows that both languages show the tense morphologically which is formed in inflection morpheme for both languages and they have same expression of time. Mainly, the differences found in the grammatical of syntax because in Balim does not have the helping verb like ‘modal verb ‘which is used also as tense marker. So, the similarities and differences are useful for the native speaker of Balim language in learning English as foreign language and also for the learner of Balim language.
