General English classes are taught as one of compulsory subjects at the Faculty of Liberal Arts, Universitas Pelita Harapan, Tangerang Indonesia. To enhance student learning, assignments to be given may vary from quizzes to independent learning. In this study, film reviews are given to students as to improve their attitudes on vocabulary, teamwork and writing skill. Four classes for approximately 120 students were the subjects of this research conducted in the Short Semester from the May to July 2018. The data collection was taken from questionnaires, weekly reports, and documents (posters and dioramas) together with peer evaluatuons of oral reports. Descriptive statistics is used to analyze questionnaires distributed to those classes. To help students improve their vocabulary, teamwork and writing skill, film reviews can be beneficial as an alternative independent learning activity outside the class. The result of this research is obtained as students enjoy film review activities, improve their vocabulary, teamwork and writing.
