Isi artikelSoil erosion prediction is a powerful tool for soil conservation planning. Most widely used model for soil prediction is Universal Soil Loss Equation (USLE), whereas RUSLE (Revised United Soil Loss Equation is the revision and update of USLE that is available in computer program. Soil loss data from four experiments with total 14 treatments were used for prediction of soil loss by RUSLE. These experiments were conducted in Serdang and Puchong. Malaysia. The predicted soil loss was compared with measured soil Joss. It result showed that RUSLE over estimated soil loss for four treatments and under-estimated for five treatments, where as the results of other five were almost same with an average difference at 1.19 tons/ac. The paired t-test that tile difference between me:1sured and predicted soil loss was not significantly' different from each other. Therefore on these bases it can be stated that RUSLE has a potential be used in Malaysia for soil conservation planning. But before its wide spread used it should be tested for other crops and in other locations.
