In determining the dynamic response of one degree of freedom of structural dynamic can be solved easily using exact solution or numerical method. But if the structure has many degrees of freedom, it will be difficult to solve the dynamic response of structure using exact solution or to solve the problem manually. To overcome this problem needed a method that can change the coupled system to be uncoupled system a system with multi degree of freedom to be many of one degree of freedom system). This method called as modal Analysis [5,6]. Thus, the system can be solved using numerical method especially Phase Plane Method and Duhamel Integration Method which both of these methods can only solve one degree of freedom of dynamic system. The results of these methods then are compared to exact solution that modified to be numerical method. The result of computational simulation that Phase Plane method is the fastest end the most stable ,among three methods including exact solution. Despite the Duhamel integration Method give the similar dynamic response to exact solution, but it has constrained at not ton high natural frequency of structure. Thus, this method needs the Subspace Method that can calculate some of the lowest natural frequencies and mode shapes.
