In West Sumatra, one of malaria endemic area is Sungai Pinang village, Kecamatan XI Koto Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan An information on the Anopheles m0squito fauna and it's breeding places were still lacking. The adult mosquitoes were collected at animal cage and connecting larvae at small pool found village. The results showed that two species of Anopheles were found such us An, sundaicus and An. subpictus. There were found three kind of breeding places in which An. supdaicus WQS found at lagcon, while An. subpictus was found at small pool, swamp and lagoon.
