| Stress intensity factor phenomena on a model of an element of a structure was studied using plant polariscopes by isochromatic patterns. A symmetrical curve bar with load on its end showed the largest stress intensity factor at the side of crack initiation With the formulas of fracture mechanics can calculate theoretical stress intensity factor then compare with experimental result which used photoelasticity method, one precision methods from experimental stress analysis. |
