The following article may be considered an extended erratum of sorts, for our article 'A note on time, timing, and transcriptions thereof (GILL 1.2:203-208). There we referenced a chapter (O'Connell and Kowal, in press. In: Edwards and Lampert, in press). The designation was correct insofar as a contract had been signed and returned to the publisher after the submission of an invited ms. However, insurmountable problems arose thereafter with the editors; these led to the publication of that chapter as the following article.
