Abstract
The fiberglass reinforced plastics tank is widely used in industries through out the world. The topic in this paper is about how to design the atmospherical vertical tank with a volume of 50 cubic meters according to British Standard called BS 4994. The design was started by finding the classification or category of the tank and the design criteria. The next step was materials selection based on load or force acting on the tank. Since the tank is vertical, the wind load must be considered in this design calculation.
