Isi artikelThis paper describes language deviatiion consisting of seven types: (1) phonological, (2) alphbetical, (3) morphemic or lexical, (4) phrasal, (5) sentencecial, (6) ideological or semantic, and (7) discourse deviations. They usually appear as acronyms. A word (A) which has the original meaning (B) is deviated to have the meaning (C), so the formula becomes: A = B + C..Based on the meaning, the use, and the context of the deviated words, we have several functions of deviations. They fuinction as (1) a joke, (2) teasing allusion or satire, (3) the latent social protest, (4) the self-reflection to the beneficial situation, (5) the euphemism, (6) the secret expression, and (7) a funny remark in communication.
