Isi artikelIndonesia's utilization of the demographic bonus phenomenon should be elevated through manufacturing industry. As a significant shareholder of GDP (18,1% in 2016) the manufacturing industry has become increasingly important to achieve previous propositions. In order to streghten this sector, infrastructure is key. Lack of infrastructure may cause inefficient logistic cost - harming the manufacturing sector itself. Therefore, an infrastructure development program is of utmost important. However, considering the limited budget, Indonesia should create priority mapping for its regions. Using Cartesian plane mapping with regional population growth rate and CAGR of regional manufacturing share to GDP as variables, we found that there are five provinces, mostly in eastern Indonesia that should be prioritized in infrastructural development. Then, we will assess each province with in-depth analysis to uncover the constraints of potential growth. Adequate infrastructure should eventually accelerate the national demographic bonus potential.
