Isi artikelThis paper aims to examine the role of country governance and bank internal factor on Islamic Banking. This paper uses profitability and risk as an indicator of bank performance. Country governance measured by political stability and regualtory quality while internal factor measured by size, capitalization, and liquidity. Research is conducted with regression analysis. The results shows that country governance has a significant negative relationshipwith bank performance. Size, capitalization, and liquidity have a significant positive relationship with bank performance. Our imperical study allowed us to conclude that Islamic bank was negatively exposed to the effects of country governance because of its moral hazard in risk-taking lending behaviour. Also for the internal factor, the variables have to arouse the interest of the decision-makers and restructuring policies to direct their strategies and aiming correctives actions to promote the performance of Islamic banking an finance system
