| This paper will focus on dealing with dual relationships as one of the ethical dilemmas that counselor may facing in his/her work. Having dual relationships is not always a problem for both parties, but it does not mean that dual relationships are easy thing to deal with. Counselor has to consider cultural issue, gender issue as well as ethical dilemmas when she is working with a client. In higher education, when counselor also serves as a teacher, client may see him as an authoritarian figure which is not always easy for both parties. Like all case with ethical dilemmas, the welfare of the client is the most important thing to be considered. |
