The present paper is an attempt to look into the categorization of nouns in Mandar using the theories proposed by Pustejovsky and Bechert et al. Nouns are therefore categorized not only on the basis of their syntactic but also on their semantic features. Using this theory, Manndar nouns are classified into eight categories is characterized with the features [animate], [human], [abstarct], and [number].
